Braunschweig, Germany, Februar 27th 2019 - NORDSYS, a specialist in automotive software as well as V2X solutions, and Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps businesses, service providers and governments accelerate innovation and make the world more connected and secure, announced a new alliance to combine the two companies' test capabilities in Cellular Vehicle-to-X (C-V2X) communications today.

NORDSYS and Keysight signed a licensing agreement at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that enables Keysight to incorporate key software components from NORDSYS for testing V2X systems into its test solutions. The partnership includes test solutions for LTE-V as well as for 5G in the future.

"The agreement with Keysight is an important step for our current V2X licensing business," explains Manfred Miller, Managing Partner of NORDSYS. "The modern software architecture of our V2X stack and the entire waveBEE® Eco-System fits perfectly into the system architecture of Keysight's test solutions. Keysight's decision for our waveBEE® solution after extensive benchmarks shows that our software architecture perfectly meets the requirements of international partners."

The waveBEE® stack is the central communication component for networking vehicles with each other (V2V) or with the infrastructure (V2I). Communication with the environment is considered one of the key technologies for automated driving. In terms of software architecture, the waveBEE stack is designed to provide a uniform interface for different target markets (North America, Europe, China) and their standards.

Vehicle manufacturers and suppliers will gain a V2X test platform that meets all automotive industry requirements for comprehensive testing through the cooperation of both companies. The combination of Keysight's C-V2X test solution with the modular and proven waveBEE® stack prepares customers for future applications and transmission technologies, such as hybrid communication.

Keysight's C-V2X test solution targets both protocol testing and functional testing of both interfaces for C-V2X: Uu and PC5. The foundation of the solution is the proven Keysight UXM 5G platform, which supports R14 LTE-A C-V2X for end-to-end design and test. This setup enables the automotive industry to accelerate the development of C-V2X products from the physical layer to the application layer and across the entire workflow - from simulation to design to verification.

"Keysight is pleased to collaborate with NORDSYS GmbH and use its proven waveBEE stack technology to address this exciting growth area in automotive connectivity and safety," said Siegfried Gross, vice president and general manager, Automotive and Energy Solutions at Keysight."We look forward to working closely with NORDSYS and the C-V2X Eco system to accelerate time-to-market and meet ever-changing test requirements."
